Recipe: Basil & Berry Smoothie topped with Mint Leaf


1 cup Filtered Water (add more less for thicker consistency)
1/2 cup Organic Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup Organic Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 Banana (optional for thicker consistency)
1/2 cup Fresh Basil
1 Mint Leaf (as edible garnish)

Food As Medicine:

  • Basil has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties and is high in both vitamin A and K as well as many other vitamins and minerals.
  • Blueberries also contain anti-inflammatory properties and an array of vitamins and minerals including phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin K which can help maintain heathy bone structure and strength.
  • Mint is a great palate cleanser and can help promote healthy digestion as well as a number of other health benefits.
